People have requested that I update my success, or lack thereof, regarding the GoDaddy Reseller trial. First of all, apologies for not notifying everyone that I would be going on hiatus. I had a major job come up and had to devote all of my time to it. While I mentioned on a couple of other sites that I would be going away for awhile, I just sort of went AWOL here. I [...] So, as I said in my GoDaddy Reseller Review, I have started a trial with them. The cost was $199 per year, etc. and I won’t go all back through that here. I’m simply going to provide periodic updates as to how the program is going. Having finished my first month, this is a good point as any to start those. 1&1 is running an August promotion where customers who sign up for a 24 month hosting plan get the first year for free. 1&1 is a hosting company that offers a variety of solutions, from shared hosting to virtual dedicated and fully dedicated. For the nitty-gritty of what each hosting company is really offering, you have to venture away from the marketing pages and into the shadowy world of the “Terms of Service” (TOS). I’ve updated the Web Hosting Updated Sales, Promotions and Coupons Page. As usual, these things change practically on a daily basis, so it has taken me some time since I got back from vacation to go through all the changes in coupon codes, promotions, etc. Well, getting back from vacation and back to working on Hosting Website has not been as smooth as I had hoped. You know how things tend to pile up on you while you are away. Still, I’ve made great progress with my work yesterday and today and should be back to regular updating (as opposed [...] Hosting Website is not planning on a Jumpline.com test and review any time soon, but I feel compelled to jump around and point at them, nevertheless. Why? Because they offer something that no one I’ve found in the shared hosting business offers: a choice, via plans, of how many people, generally, are on your shared server. In fact, their graduated scalability is astonishing. |
