I never really expected to run this test, but from looking at my statistics, there are a lot of people interested in becoming resellers. I’m not one of them, but as I looked over the reseller program at GoDaddy, I decided that it was worth a good look. For one thing, I could do it for $199, which is a solid price for such a thing, and also it is very easy to use, so it won’t take up too much of my already strained time.
So these are the big boys. If you want to run a bunch of sites on one account and have immense power behind them, Media Temple is your spot so long as you don’t mind the $20 per month fee, which is still pretty solid for what you are getting.

Obviously I have to recommend HostGator as a fantastic shared host. This site is run on their minimum-priced plan, and it just sings. I’ve had no problems whatsoever. HostGator isn’t for everyone, just almost everyone. It would be a fantastic choice for anyone who simply needs a good shared hosting company.
